Kansas Association for

Gifted Talented and Creative

Membership

Inviting you to join our efforts!

For 30 years, KGTC has been the only statewide advocacy organization in Kansas dedicated to the needs of identified gifted children and other talented, creative and high ability learners. KGTC and its members are diligent advocates. Members, individually and collectively, work to dispel myths, improve services and expand awareness of the needs of highly able learners. The organization and its members are active with education initiatives, professional development, general advocacy and provides support and communication to parents, educators and the general public.

KGTC, an affiliate of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), has hundreds of members from across the state including parents, grandparents, educators, retirees and other stakeholders. Members receive a quarterly newsletter and other regular communications that include information on student opportunities, legislation, conferences, family supports, updates on current research, links to resources, presentations by experts and other information of interest. KGTC maintains a website and utilizes a members-only listserv. KGTC has close ties with the regent universities that train specialists and with the Kansas Department of Education and their consultant for Gifted Education.

We welcome you as one of our well-informed advocates!
